In 2016 Pat and his wife, Wendy, began a multi-year restoration project on the Blaz Duran / Andres Gonzales Building located on Calle Guadalupe in Mesilla. The goals of the restoration project were to repair and upgrade the building in order to preserve it for future generations, to document its history and to use the project to provide a better understanding of moisture-based damage in an old adobe structure within the context of an actual restoration project.
